Sweet baby Jack. It was such a joy to finally meet you. I was really looking forward to this session as a follow up to an earlier family/maternity session I did with his adorable big sis and parents this spring. Funny thing is the newborn girls have far outnumbered the boys this year, yet this week I had two boys in a row. Well girls, I’m guessing you’ll all have to fight over this one because he’s already too cute for words.

Love, love, love the first basket image. Jackson’s grandma happened to casually mention that she had a basket she converted to a bassinet when Jack’s mom was a baby, and before that it had been used by her mother for laundry. Would I perhaps want to use it for some photos? Yes please!!!!!! I adore getting to incorporate a family’s history into their images. It just makes it all the more special.

My oh my is it a busy month. Get ready for a ton of posts because my summer is just packed with sessions. If you’re looking to book, I only have a few spots left in September, so contact me soon so you can snag one of those before they’re gone!

Let’s start off this mad dash with the adorable newborn boy Pearce. This handsome fellow and his family were, as always, such a joy to work with. I love doing newborn sessions in the warmer months because I often get to take these little guys outside and try something different. Isn’t the shot in the grass divine? You can’t see it, but I’m doing the happy photographer dance over it. On second thought, it’s probably best you can’t see that, lol.

Benjamin : Tri-City Child Photography

I’m not sure who was having more fun in the tall grass, me or lively Benjamin. Either way it made for some spectacular photos. I loved using the grass to frame him as he explored and played. His mother, Margo, was a good sport and well prepared with lots of snacks, juice, and kisses for her little man. I loved her dress and the color was a perfect contrast to the green landscape.
